I AM YOUR DOULA

I AM YOUR DOULA

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME :

After supporting and cheering for both of my sisters during their amazing births of my 3 nieces and two nephews, I decided that I was meant to work with mothers and their babies.

I started my career off in education. I have taught second and third grade and coached various sports.  I loved every minute of my education career, but soon my nieces started having children and I was there to support them through labor and postpartum care.  I knew at this time I was being called to serve as a Doula.  Those who know me best consider me the “mama bear” of our group and the “baby whisperer” to all children. I believe wholeheartedly that each woman has the right to choose the best birth option for herself and her family.  I have the wisdom and awareness of how to best support you through your labor, whether in a hospital, birthing center, or at home.  I am BEST Doula Certified, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Master's Degree in Educational Technology.

Your pregnancy and birth experience should be everything you desire.   You deserve to have 100 percent evidence-based care and a safe and inviting environment.   You should feel confident in your decision even if things don't go as planned.  As a BEST Doula, I support birthing families by providing evidence-based information, guidance with decision-making, hands-on care, comfort measures, and individualize physical, emotional, and spiritual support. The goal is to ease the mother's pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.  I will help you achieve your goals as well as help you to understand your options and empower you to make educated decisions.

Childbirth can be unpredictable. Let me help you navigate your experience. Consider me a guide. Never telling you which path you must take, but making sure you understand the options.  I can be hands-on with massage, help baby positioning, and offer an expert voice to help navigate and advocate on every changing path as there is no set path to take. I am here to understand your needs and wishes for birth and support your family every step of the way.  I am not here for the doctors, the hospital, nor your insurance company. I am here solely for you!

Hiring a Doula is truly a lifetime investment and one that continues to provide rewards to you and your family for many years to come!   The earlier you hire a Doula, the more value you receive from them!  The first step is contacting me.  I contract 4 births a month.  No exceptions, but only because I dedicate every ounce of energy to you, and I'd love to meet with you!
